Ending educational inequality starts with providing excellent teachers to the students who need them most. Since the month of May we are working with a group of 23 teachers from a small town in the department of Magdalena in Colombia, "El Reten.

During our first meeting teachers had the opportunity to share with us the reality of their schools and together we decided to work this semester in self-diagnose their institutions to analyze their policies, practices and culture of inclusion. Based on these results we’ll develop proposals for improvement of each institution.

So every month we will be conducting a workshop in El Reten  that promotes inclusion and seeks to develop strategies to improve educational tools applicable in their context.

During the past month we also had the opportunity to share with 15 teachers in one of the Child Development Centers of Barranquilla, “CDI 20 de Julio “, talking about the importance of providing a fair and equal start to children with disability from early childhood.

We value YOUR support and would like to share this journey with YOU. Connect with us on Facebook or Twitter for our most recent updates or consider making a donation to our project  Disability & Inclusion:Training Colombian Teachers - #17772 and help change the life of many students with disability today.

Thanks!!

Muchas Gracias!!
