In May 2018, Makaia, in collaboration with the EPM Public Library in Medellín Colombia, has provided digital literacy training for older adults with hearing disability. Fifteen people attended the training sessions, where they had the opportunity to learn how to use and make sense of the internet and softwares such as word and paint.
As on previous occasions, the trainer was Mrs. Alejandra Serna, who is an experienced trainer and also has a hearing disability .
Due to the donations received through the Global Giving platform to our project "Inclusion for people with disabilities in Colombia", we have been able to provide trainning in ICT skills to people with disabilities and / or organizations that work with such communities
During the last five years, we have benefited 1789 people.
We really appreciate that you are part of this great initiative and thus help us to fulfill our vision: "That every person and organization has the information to transform themselves and their environment".
