While health conditions of seniors have improved, creating opportunities in the silver economy, challenges persist. Ageism and lack of training hinder stable employment. Solution

Through an intensive, comprehensive training, Makaia's Bootcamp will provide 50 participants over 50 with the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed for employment in the tech sector. Additionally, Makaia will provide assistance connecting them with potential employers within the network of institutional allies to achieve job placement, and mentoring them throughout the process of applying and interviewing for employment opportunities.

Long-Term Impact

With your support, we will be able to make a substantial improvement in the quality of life of impacted older adults, who have managed to increase their personal and household incomes through formal employment, contributing to health and pension funds. During this time, companies employing these individuals also experience a shift in perceptions regarding the various roles older adults can assume, their employability, and their digital skills, resulting in increased openness and inclusivity.
