Our Field Officer deploying Camera trap

Hope you all are safe in this pandemic, we are thankful to you for your valuable contribution to our project. Sahyadri Nisarga Mitra is working hard for the accomplishment of the project. But we have some limitations due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Due to lockdown, we had to stop all of our field activities and awareness programs. But still, our team is taking efforts to conserve the species. We are working on the trap camera data collected in previous months in order to find the burrow preference of pangolins. We are also studying pangolins co-relation with other animals in the jungle through trap camera photographs.

We are in contact with all of our guides and collecting information regarding sightings of pangolin. We are also guiding locals for their alternate livelihood initiatives as it’s very important nowadays. We are currently spreading awareness through social media platforms and through online lectures. As soon as the lockdown ends we will restart the field activities, till that time we are thankful to you for your support.
