Awareness Programs For Students

We are thankful for every donor who is contributing to saving this elusive animal. Your support is inspiring us to work hard in the field of nature conservation.

 Pangolin field Survey

 

  • Day-night Field survey was carried out in Watul village to Study the ecology of the species and habitat.
  • CCTV camera deployed Watul village to document species movement, behavior and ecology.
  • The questionnaire survey is completed across the Dapoli, Mandangad and Sangameshwar blocks of the Ratnagiri District.
  • Data were analyzed collected in 2019, total camera trap days in 2019 are 5543, total Pangolin photos 192 and 49 videos were documented by the organization.
  • A scat sample of the species was processed and send it to the expert for analyzing the food preference of the species.

Awareness and Livelihood

  • Two awareness meets with villagers held at the village deity temple in Watul village.
  • School awareness program is done in Bhambed Highschool, Rajapur.
  • Powerpoint presentation held in Bhile village for selected students from Ratnagiri district.
  • Capacity building of the Forest department to tackle the illegal forest activity such as Hunting and Poaching of the species.
  • Wild beehive capturing Training held at Tanali village.
