Education awareness in Schools through competition

We thank the donors for committing to the conservation of Indian Pangolin. Also, we are grateful to the GlobalGiving for providing the platform to spread a word about our work and fundraising.

Awareness and Sensitization

  • 28 Educational institutes were educated and aware about species severity, protection law and special wildlife educations were provided.
  • Total 234 eco-friendly awareness board installed in the region to outreach mass awareness in the region.
  • Cognizance leaflets with Save Pangolin message were distributed across 479 villages across Snagameshwar, Mandangad, and Dapoli block.
  • To educate and aware local community about species severity and importance in ecosystem meeting was taken across 64 villages in the region.
  • Capacity building of the Forest department to tackle the illegal forest activity such as Hunting and Poaching of the species.

 Pangolin field Survey

  • Day night Field survey was carried out in Mandangad block to Study ecology of the species and habitat.
  • 9 Trap camera deployed on field after monsoon now 30 camera trap is Deployed on field to document species movement, behavior and ecology.
  • Questionnaire survey is completed across the Dapoli, Mandangad and Sangameshwar block of the Ratnagiri District.
  • Data were analyzed collected from 2016, total camera trap days since 2016 till now is 10000 total 206 Pangolin photos and 90 videos were documented by the organization.
  • Scat sample of the species were processed and send it to the expert for analyzing food preference of the species.
