The last week of August a suburban camp for Thomayer hospital employees' children took place. Lecturers prepared a lot of interesting and fun games, a bonfire, a karaoke with parents and one night children could also try sleeping in a tent. Everyone enjoyed it and it was a nice end of summer.
In September, we organized workshop for mothers of children hospitalized in Children's Neurology ward. Besides mothers older children attended too and they made knitting paper hearts, which will be a beautiful decoration or a nice gift for a loved one. Meanwhile, volunteers was guarding mums children so that mothers could rest.
One of the biggest events we hold in the autumn is the autumn charitable bazaar of clothes and other things. People wore their unwanted things from October 16th to 18th to the hospital chapel where other could buy it for a symbolic price. The proceeds from the sale will be used for Licorice volunteer center's projects in Thomayer hospital. This annual event is always a success so we repeat it in the spring.
