Volunteers who visit the hospital wards regularly during December and January continue their work as bedside companions in the adults‘ and in the children's wards.
Art workshops in the wards were in full swing before Christmas, it the ward of Geriatrics and aftercare was produced soaps and Christmas cards under the direction of Jana Vánová. In the Pediatricneurology ward was made Advent wreaths, as well as a workshop for mothers of hospitalized children who had the opportunity to make a Christmas tree from the IKEA catalog under the direction of Lenka Kutejová.
Neither the hospital didn‘t miss Saint Nicholas’s Day. Eight groups dressed as St. Nicholas, an angel and a devil comforted patients in the ward of Geriatrics and aftercare, the Rheumatology and Rehabilitation ward, the Neurology, the Surgery, the Oncology and Internal medicine ward and the all Pediatric‘s wards – the Child Psychiatry, the Neurology, the Pediatric Clinic and the Clinic of Children Surgery and Traumatology.
For hospital employees and volunteers was organized workshop where they could make an Advent wreath made of wood. Another form of appreciation for the volunteers and cooperating medics was Christmas meeting in the hospital chapel, where director of the hospital thanked volunteers and medics for their work and after the meeting was banquet everybody had the opportunity to felt festive tune while listening to the Czech Christmas Mass by Jakub Jan Ryba.
