Empowering 4 Students as Change Agents in Yucatan

Dear Impulso friends and family,

Our newest generation continues their path as university students and future Agents of Change. As many as eight sessions of the Comprehensive Training Program have taken place since our last report. The topics have now gone beyond just adapting to university, as they intend to care for their whole person, their community, and their preparation for other stages of life beyond education. 

The topics covered by the Comprehensive Training Program activities were vast. Regarding the care of the whole person, they worked on themes such as family and personal support networks, sex and gender education, and comprehensive health. In terms of the community, they started planning their social volunteering activity as part of the renovated structure of our program, which they will complete near the final part of the school year. Finally, they also worked on job readiness, participating in a workshop on personal finances and other sessions to better their abilities for job interviews and CV creation. 

In other activities covered since our last report, the students attended our annual camping trip and cinema forum. While they represent activities for bonding and recreation, they also serve as opportunities for our students to reflect and put into practice what they have learned so far in the year.

Impulso Universitario, on the other hand, reached 25 years of continuous work in providing opportunities to study for more people. We celebrated with an event with our local donors, our Youth, and the local community.
