Empowering 4 Students as Change Agents in Yucatan

Dear Impulso friends and family,

Ever since our last report, so much has occurred at Impulso Universitario with our new generation of students. Five sessions of the Comprehensive Training Program were completed, providing our youth with new knowledge to apply as they adapt to this new stage in their lives.

Additionally, we are happy that our 79 future Agents of Change have continued their studies during this time, preventing early academic drop-out. Our more than 150 tutoring and mentoring sessions since the last report have helped us identify possible barriers and act to help the students and prevent them from leaving school. 

The Comprehensive Training Program activities covered various topics such as emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, self-knowledge, and awareness. With these, we prepared first-year students with tools and skills to help them navigate through their first semester studying at this level, especially regarding their social interactions. 

Finally, the students enjoyed our holiday celebration for the first time. This is a particular time as it marks the end of their first semester before their much-deserved vacations after the tremendous effort they have put into their classes. Much anticipated, it was an excellent opportunity for first-timers to bond and connect with their peers from other generations at Impulso.
