JAAN is still waiting for support from the city government for ending the abuse of carriage horses in Jakarta. Meanwhile, our trained ferrier has been giving proper shoes to the horses one by one and together with the Indonesian Veterinary Association we continue to administer medical care as needed. We are in desperate need of volunteer vets to help us with the medical care required for the horses however we have not had any success in attracting volunteer vets for this project. Our program could help many more horses and we could launch and education component for the public about why people should not support this cruelty if we had significant funding for this intiative.
