By Folasade Ofurune | Project Leader, Sweet Mother Program
Bola arrived in labor at night at a community health center with nothing to deliver her baby except a birthing kit that Sweet Mother Program had given her. In this emergency situation, the nurses on duty used the birthing kit to take the delivery of a baby girl safely. The nurses cut the umbilical cord with the scalpel in the kit. And the baby had its first birth with the soap in the kit.
