In the last 3 weeks, we had to take in 6 new dogs and 10 new cats. For the cats we have space, as we have extended the cat house, their only problem is they don't know how to use the litterbox and that they have some health issues,
For the dogs, we have a real space issue. We had no adoptions in the last few months, and all our pens are occupied. Although there is a big yard where some of the dogs are free and the others run freely while we supervise, we cannot let more dogs in the big yard because there is a big risk of fights, and a vet visit is quite expensive... if the dog survives.
This made us start building another pen, to offer the dogs that we had to take in ( from an old lady that died) a proper shelter.
And if the 6 dogs aren't enough, there are 2 dogs that we have been feeding for quite a while now, at the end of our village, both with health problems, that we want to take in before it is too late. They are near a busy road, and we will not forgive ourselves if something happens to them.
