This project will improve the conditions for the 60+ animals in our care. Cats will have more room to move and play and also be safe, in quarantine, before vaccination. Dogs will have better conditions for the rainy days.
In Romania, it is still normal to dump dogs and cats anywhere, when you no longer want them or when they were just given birth. Some that we rescue find homes, but some are too scared or need more time to find the perfect family and some need special conditions, like being isolated from others.
This project won't fix the source of the problem, that will be done through our spaying campaigns, our work with the authorities and the police and through educating the younger generation. This project will give dogs and cats, better living conditions and allow them to bloom, each on its rythm.
Scared animals need space and time to blossom, some need to be alone, others need to be with other dogs/cats, others need to be in a home. Some need to be quarantined for their protection, others need to be quarantined for the protection of others( like cats with FIV/FelV). The impact will be in their lives, more kittens and puppies surviving, and the adults having better conditions to live their lives.
