Dumbrava has entered a maintenance state, there isn't much to build anymore - that is also because we cannot afford having more animals in our care, so our only goal is to improve their conditions.
What does this mean?
- we try to provide them enrichment toys - such as a climbing tree for Kati(our goat) or places to hide the food for the dogs that are too scared to go on walks, to make them use their mind.
- last year one of our dogs died because of a heat stroke. Kati's climbing structure also offers extra shade. We have planted trees and built another shed to offer the animals shade.
- repairs to the pens are always needed, and sometimes we also need to improve them, especially for escape artists.
