Summary

This project aims at providing lifesaving materials to migrant and construction workers, farm laborers, gypsies and tribal people who are the victims of COVID-19. These people depend upon wages to meet their daily food requirements. Due to unprecedented and prolonged lockdown throughout India, they are left without any employment to earn for their daily bread. Your donation will help these vulnerable people to survive with their families at this most challenging times.

Challenge

COVID-19 crisis has changed the lifestyle of vulnerable people upside down. Being daily wage earners, they do not have bank balances to support their life during such calamities. Having been indebted for life, it is a difficult time for them to get additional loans to support their families. The migrant laborers face the additional problem of homelessness. The children, women and the elders and those who are sick are the worst hit.

Solution

Your donation will help a minimum of 1000 victims to protect themselves and their families from coronavirus through awareness programs. They will have protective materials such as soaps, sensitizers, and masks and learn to wash their hands to keep away from COVID-19. They will also get ration kits of essential food items at least for a month to manage their lives from starvation. This will drastically stop further spread of coronavirus to other members of their communities.

Long-Term Impact

The target people would have succeeded in containing the onslaught of the deadly viruses. They would be aware of the importance of personal hygiene that would help them to fight against any form of harmful viruses. Within a shorter period of three months, they would recover from this crisis of unemployment, poverty, hunger, and vulnerability and start a fresh life with confidence.
