Needs Map continues to grow, strengthen, and reach wider audiences every day with the support of both corporate and individual supporters from Turkey and around the world. As a volunteer-based solidarity platform, it meets needs through contactless deliveries without using warehouses or stores. With its user-friendly structure, Needs Map aims to create social benefit and strengthen community solidarity within the framework of a circular economy. The platform allows people in need to clearly share their needs, while supporters can quickly see and respond to these needs. Using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology, Needs Map transparently collects, verifies, and displays needs and contributions on a map. This ensures that people in need and supporters can be matched quickly and accurately. Users can view needs in their surroundings on the map and take action to meet them.
Needs Map combines technology and social solidarity in a unique way. By encouraging a culture of online solidarity, it creates a trust-based environment where individuals can support one another. This way, the platform not only provides humanitarian aid but also works to solve broader social issues. It develops technology-driven solutions to fight poverty, inequality, and other social challenges, ensuring these solutions reach all parts of society. By promoting volunteerism and social responsibility, Needs Map helps create a fairer and more equal society.
Needs Map runs projects in areas such as education, health, culture, arts, sports, and basic needs to improve the quality of life in communities. These projects focus on ensuring equal access to rights and resources, especially for individuals facing inequality. By collaborating with national and international partners, the platform expands its impact and works toward sustainable development goals.
To expand its impact in Europe, Needs Map opened offices in Brussels in November 2022 and in the UK in 2023. These steps reflect its mission to lead global social innovation and its commitment to spreading social good.
As disasters and crises become more frequent, it is crucial to respond quickly and effectively. After the major earthquake in Kahramanmaras on February 6, 2023, Needs Map delivered aid rapidly to affected communities and supported recovery efforts through strong coordination. With years of experience and advanced technology, Needs Map continues to strengthen social solidarity by providing fast and effective solutions during crises. Needs Map does not just focus on disaster relief but also works to support local economic growth sustainably. While traditional humanitarian systems often overlook local economies, Needs Map strengthens them by collaborating with cooperatives, SMEs, and local entrepreneurs. By providing resources such as raw materials, technical equipment, training, and mentorship, it increases local production capacity and boosts regional economic activity. This approach not only meets needs after disasters but also helps reshape local economies and support long-term development.
Through all these projects, Needs Map aims to build a society based on solidarity, justice, and equality. Together, we work to provide equal opportunities, accelerate recovery, and move toward a fairer future for everyone. Thank you for being part of this journey and helping us make the world a better place.
