By Amreen Banu | Fundraising

Bhumi’s Ignite+ program addresses the urgent need for safe, hygienic, and inclusive school infrastructure in underserved communities, with a particular focus on supporting young girls. By prioritizing sanitation upgrades and reliable facilities, Ignite+ promotes dignity, health, and uninterrupted learning for students who previously faced limited or inadequate toilet access.
In FY 2025-26, the program constructed one new toilet and renovated two existing toilets, directly benefiting 520 girls. These targeted interventions have reduced overcrowding, improved menstrual hygiene management, and encouraged regular school attendance.
Beyond immediate health gains, the improvements contribute to a safer and more welcoming school environment, fostering girls’ confidence and sustained participation in education. Ignite+ remains committed to sustainable, quality-driven infrastructure work that advances gender equity and long-term community well-being.
