In La Cocha, 34 local farmers are now taking part in a process that combines technical support, access to seeds, and new tools to strengthen their vegetable gardens.
During a recent meeting, farmers received autumn and winter seeds and were introduced to Kokue, a digital tool that can help them record information and monitor the progress of their gardens. The technology is not intended to replace the knowledge and experience farmers have built over the years, but rather to complement it and provide additional support for planning and decision-making.
The meeting also created an opportunity for farmers to exchange experiences, ask questions, and share their expectations. Alongside producers who were already receiving technical support, new farmers expressed their interest in joining the initiative and opening their gardens to future follow-up visits.
This growing participation is an encouraging step. By bringing together local knowledge, technical assistance, seeds, and practical technology, we aim to help farming families strengthen their production over time.
