Why ICT in Education: ICT in education is the mode of education that makes use of information and communications technology to support, enhance, and optimise the delivery of information. We intend to include students with disabilities and other disadvantaged rural children in providing computer skills needed and opportunities available in technical and other mainstream careers. We require (40) computer sets for use of 271 school children and 75 resident students with disability
Rural students with disabilities and disadvantages usually lag behind in educational and career success.
Students with disabilities and other disadvantaged rural children are exposed to computer skills needed and opportunities available in technical and other mainstream careers. We believe that the solution to the problem lies in the use information and communication technology in education, introduction to basic technology, identifying and encouraging diverse multiple intelligence of students. For gaining competitive edge, students with disabilities need information and communication skills.
Technosavy rural students with disabilities and socio-economic disadvantages are better equipped in securing higher education, better occupations and participate more fully in the development of the nation. Their success provides motivations to their younger brothers and sisters in marching their own career paths.
