This 12-month, $10,000 project to enhance learning outcomes for 300 learners by integrating Information and Communication Technology into classroom activities. Computers & educational software will support interactive learning, improve digital literacy, and foster critical thinking. By integrating ICT into daily lessons, students gain 21st-century skills while teachers enhance instructional methods, keeping learners engaged, motivated, & better prepared for future academic &career opportunities.
In Uganda, only 22% of primary schools have access to computers, and fewer than 1 in 5 teachers are trained in ICT integration. Many learners struggle to achieve optimal outcomes due to traditional teaching methods that fail to engage students. Lack of digital tools limits interactive learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, putting students at risk of falling behind academically and unprepared for the digital economy of the 21st century
This project will equip classrooms with computers and interactive learning software, enabling ICT-integrated lessons that actively engage 300 learners. Teachers will receive hands-on training to effectively embed digital tools into their lessons. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation will track progress, ensuring students gain critical digital literacy, strengthen comprehension, and achieve improved academic performance, preparing them for future education and 21st-century opportunities.
This project will transform learning for 300 students by improving test scores and overall academic performance. Learners &teachers will gain vital digital literacy and ICT skills, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and engagement in the classroom. The initiative establishes a sustainable ICT integration model that can be scaled to other schools, ensuring lasting educational impact and preparing students for future opportunities in Uganda's digital economy and beyond in line with SDGS 2030
