Water For People- Guatemala organized training for the municipality’s Health Ministry and Education staff on instruction of the Safe Water and Health Hygiene Education Program. The hygiene education model aims to teach community members about safe hygiene practices and the water cycle and how human beings affect it. Through pictures and role playing, community members learn positive health behaviors that will help themselves stay healthy and protect their water sources from contamination.
Water For People-Guatemala also held their first training for teachers on health and hygiene education. This training focused on ways teachers can teach and enforce proper times to wash hands.
