At Joy Foundation, we're dedicated to enhancing the hygiene and well-being of women and children. Through our initiatives, we've made a significant impact in rural areas where access to sanitation facilities is limited.
Toilet Construction and Awareness
We've successfully constructed toilets for women in various rural areas, addressing the issue of open defecation and promoting environmental hygiene and sanitation. In conjunction with infrastructure development, we've provided supported families with awareness sessions on:
- Safe toilet usage
- Importance of toilets
- Dangers of open defecation
- Benefits of toilets for women and girls
Hygiene Kit Distribution and Education
This initiative focused on empowering young girls with essential hygiene kits containing:
Women's personal hygiene products
- Oral care products (toothpaste and toothbrushes)
- Hair combs
- Soaps
- Antiseptic liquid
- Mosquito repellent
- Cotton buds
- Nail clippers
- Towels
Prior to distribution, we conducted awareness sessions on:
- Proper use of hygiene products
- Importance of hygiene for women and girls' health and safety
By adopting these practices, girls will not only maintain their health but also educate their family members to adopt similar hygiene measures.
Future Plans
We'll continue our efforts, targeting rural areas where open defecation persists, and women and girls' safety is often neglected. Our goal is to promote hygiene, sanitation, and gender equality, ultimately improving the overall well-being of women and children.
