Our understanding is that parishes from Black River through Saint Elizabeth is destroyed.
The damage occurrs again through the west facing mountains all the way to Montego Bay. The airport in Montego Bay is destroyed and will be down for a very long time. Incoming aid to come in only from Kingston or Ocho Rios (Ian Fleming).
No official count of those left homeless, but unofficially it is tens of thousands, and they all need hygiene, food and sanitation/ cleaning supplies.
We've lost contact with a few people and family, as expected since towers are down and satellites aren't even connecting to WhatsApp, but we are still in touch with a few on the ground and the needs are great in all villages in southwest and northwest Jamaica.
NOTE: We are unable to share the clips from our YouTube, because they are considered 'short clips' and not compatible for our GlobalGiving campaign, however we are uploading to our channel as we get them.
