Challenge

Global Links is working with partners in Cuba and public health specialists with PAHO/WHO to assess the situation and needs of the healthcare sector following the damage caused by Hurricane Irma.

Solution

Global Links will develop a disaster recovery project to address the specific needs of each healthcare facility and improve conditions and the quality of care through the distribution of medical materials, supplies, furnishings, and equipment. Global Links has a 25-year history of working in Cuba and the necessary legal licenses to do so. We have the strong, established relationships necessary and a proven track record for disaster recovery.

Long-Term Impact

Recovery efforts will not only replace lost supplies and damaged equipment and furnishings but work to the strengthen the public health system to improve long term sustainability.
