Hurricane Ida Relief & Recovery

In response to Hurricane Ida, we:

Organized a Supply Distribution Site in New Orleans with a computer lab, wi-fi access, charging stations, FEMA application assistance, body healing services, 7500 liters of water, prepared food, and $50,000 worth of supplies.
Contributed equipment and supplies to the establishment of a permanent site for Indigenous disaster relief and mutual aid in Houma.
Redistributed $149,000 cash to BIPOC-led groups and individuals in New Orleans, St. James Parish, and the Bayou Parishes.
Launched more than 60 charging stations across the Greater New Orleans Area through our Community Power Map.
Distributed hundreds of heaters, blankets, hand warmers, and tea kettles to prepare individuals throughout the lower bayous for winter in damaged homes.
Actively engaged our 8,000+ Mutual Aid Response Network in relief and recovery efforts.

This project through GlobalGiving provided 38 tarps for distribution at the Supply Distribution Site.

We continue to support ongoing relief and recovery efforts across Southern Louisiana.
