Hurricane Helene, a powerful storm that swept through multiple states, has caused widespread damage and left many communities struggling to recover. The hurricane brought intense wind speeds, heavy rainfall, and extensive flooding, resulting in thousands of families being displaced, homes destroyed, and critical infrastructure damaged or rendered unusable.
Our Teams are Working Across Affected States: Our specialized teams are on the ground in several states, working tirelessly to bring assistance to those impacted. What we're doing: 1) Chainsaw/Backhoe Teams- Clear trees and debris, unblock roadways. 2) Muck and Gut Teams- Help families clean out/gut waterlogged homes, remove debris. 3) Supply Distribution Teams- Distributing essential items, Reverse Osmosis trailer providing thousands/gallons of water daily, hygiene kits, etc.
Disaster Aid USA will transition into long-term recovery and rebuilding projects once the immediate and short term needs are met. By acting quickly with our Chainsaw and debris teams plus the Muck and Gut team by gutting and drying a home the rebuild phase is able to start much quicker.
