Hurricane Harvey made landfall Friday, August 25th, 2017 between Port Aransas and Port O'Connor, TX at a category 4. It's now a Tropical Storm, continuing to produce massive amounts of rain and tornadoes that are causing widespread damage. Do Your Part is ready to assist the most vulnerable families impacted by this devastation with the challenges of short and long term recovery needs and resources.
The most harrowing challenges for recovery will fall upon families that don't have homeowners insurance, or, dealing with damage that goes beyond what any insurance claim or FEMA grant will cover.
In a widespread catastrophic event like this, it is imperative to focus on families and individuals without back up resources. Funds will be distributed in the form of gift cards; grants for building and repair materials; and emergency housing, to aid people with their urgent immediate and long term recovery needs.
The funds raised by this project have a great potential to reach hundreds of people impacted by the strongest storm to strike the U.S. in twelve years. Families are going to need help for months, even years to come. Do Your Part is committed to making a difference in aiding survivors to reach the other side of recovery with efficiency, care, and compassion.
