As a result of Hurricane Harvey impacting much of the eastern coast of Texas and inland with unprecedented rainfall and flooding, thousands of displaced individuals and families are seeking refuge in nearby counties. The San Antonio Food Bank has been tasked with assisting evacuees and displaced individuals and families.
Many of those displaced by Hurricane Harvey will continue to need assistance for months. The San Antonio Food Bank is committed to providing essential supplies to the general population that has been devastated by this event for the foreseeable future, until everyone afflicted is able to return to self-sufficiency once again.
In times of crisis and catastrophe, it is vital to ensure no one goes unaided. San Antonio Food Bank is working to ensure that no child, adult, or senior goes without a meal, a dry place to sleep, and clean clothing.
