BSCA is in constant contact with members on the ground in Grand Bahama assisting as many of the victims displaced by Hurricane Dorian.
With the funds donated to-date, BSCA has been able to provide food, clothing, personal hygiene and temporary accomodations for over sixteen familes and elderly whose homes were completely destroyed on Sweetings Cay and other areas of Grand Bahama. We have also set up Voucher Accounts with two (2) local Merchants so that some victims are able to obtain building supplies and furniture.
Sadly, there is still so much that need to be done for the victims and it will take years before their lives are returned to some comfortable level of normalcy. Sweeting Cay is still without electrical power and communications.
BSCA appreciates all donations to this fund which will exclusively support relief and recovery efforts in Sweetings Cay, Grand Bahama which was completely destroyed in this hurricane.
