We're providing free hunger relief packages from now until Thanksgiving to 250 children and their families who have been most severely impacted by COVID-19 in New York City.
1 in 4 New York City families don't have enough to food to feed themselves or their children -- which amounts to 2 million people. Many families are also too scared to leave their homes to go grocery shopping because of health concerns or immigration fears. This project aims to help 250 of New York City's neediest families by providing them with grocery and produce packages.
Children's Aid has been providing nutritious hunger relief packages to families at our distribution stations, but needs your help to keep up our critical work. We are also providing no-touch home deliveries of hunger relief packages for families who cannot leave their homes due to health or immigration concerns.
The most important thing to remember is that this pandemic is temporary, and we will get through this. But until it's over, New York City's children and their family members need your help to avoid a hunger crisis. Please help us provide emergency food relief to the 250 families who are facing the most severe cases of hunger.
