Girls and young people living with HIV/AIDS can face multiple social and emotional challenges, including stigma, discrimination, isolation, and loss of confidence. These challenges can interfere with education, relationships, and their ability to plan for the future.
The Girl Child Foundation Uganda provides counseling and psychosocial support designed to help vulnerable young people develop resilience and confidence. Through confidential counseling, peer-support groups, life-skills sessions, HIV education, and referrals, we provide practical and emotional support.
We encourage participants to understand that HIV does not define their identity or determine their future. With appropriate treatment, support, and opportunities, they can remain in school, pursue careers, build healthy relationships, and become positive role models within their communities.
We also engage caregivers and communities to promote acceptance and reduce discrimination.
Your support can help us reach more girls and young people who need someone to listen, encourage, and guide them. Together, we can protect their dignity and help them build brighter futures.
