The humanitarian situation in the Kharkiv region has deteriorated further over the course of this year. Ongoing acts of war, rocket and drone attacks as well as artillery fire on numerous villages are causing ongoing refugee movements and causing great human suffering.
Thanks to our supporters, we were able to respond swiftly to the ever-changing needs on the ground and provide targeted assistance to the people in the Kharkiv region.
This year we have already...
We are currently preparing for the upcoming winter in Ukraine: According to current forecasts, the availability of electricity and district heating in the country will be severely limited this winter, which poses a major risk, especially for the elderly and other vulnerable groups.
We are therefore already supplying 100 households in rural villages in the Kharkiv region with sufficient firewood for the entire winter. In the event of prolonged power cuts, our partner WBWU will also be preparing hot meals and delivering them to vulnerable people in the affected neighbourhoods of Kharkiv.
In response to the needs reported to us by our partners throughout the winter, we will implement further aid measures to protect the people of Kharkiv from the cold. To provide swift and flexible assistance, we rely on donations. Thank you for your continued support!
