Teenage mothers need more than short-term assistance. They need supportive environments where they can learn, ask questions, develop skills, and regain confidence.
Restored Hope for Teenage Mothers is creating such opportunities for young mothers in vulnerable communities. Through mentorship, menstrual health education, hygiene support, and community engagement, F SSIBU Mission Foundation is working to address some of the challenges that can prevent teenage mothers from progressing.
We provide menstrual materials to help young mothers manage their periods with dignity. We also support hygiene through water cans and handwashing detergents where these resources are limited.
Our mentorship sessions provide a safe environment for young mothers to discuss issues affecting their lives. These include sexual and reproductive health, parenting, menstrual health, stigma, education, vocational training, and future aspirations.
We also recognize the importance of family communication. Parents and guardians are engaged to encourage supportive conversations with teenage mothers and reduce negative attitudes that may cause young mothers to withdraw from family and community life.
The program seeks to expand into additional vulnerable communities so that more teenage mothers can access support close to where they live.
For donors, supporting this program means investing in more than a material intervention. It means helping create opportunities for young mothers to rebuild confidence and develop practical pathways toward greater independence.
With your partnership, a teenage mother can gain access to knowledge, dignity, mentorship, and opportunities that help her envision a future beyond the circumstances that changed her life.
