PROGRESS REPORT HELP WOMEN START UP A FAMILY

By Wirkom Fred | Project leader

Dear friends,

Statistically, a total of 128 women have benefited from this project. The trainings that we have  effectively carried has yielded a lot of fruites.  The knowledge of  having  a poultry in each household has proven that this is a very good project. It is neither a project for the mother nor for the father it is for every one in the house where by every one takes care  of the chikens .e.g During the day any one that is arround  ensures that there is enough water, in the morning any member of the family sweeps the cage. or another one prepared the feed.

One of the women has become a very good Garderner because she is using the fowl dropping as organic manure for her Garden.  Many  women have realized that Gardening has become an opportunistic project from this project simply because using the droppings she produces a lot of  lettuce, celery, etc.

Almost all the beneficiaries are selling the fowl dropping to her and also generating income. the project has open the eye other women who are not even beneficiaries and they craving to become future members.

Other  women groups are also applying to become beneficiaries and we are hesitant because we want to deal with the number of women and according to our financial capability.

At the moment ,they growing the ones that would be sold in Decmber for the another consigment of 3 - 4 weeks chikens to be brough in January.

The prioject is really going on successfully.
