Dear well wishers,
Through this project, helping women to help their families has been identified as a meanse of helping many local families. Women are the back bones of their families in Bui as they take care of the children and even their husbands. This is becaus this area is made up of peasant farmers as we do not have industries here.
This project has come as a solution to some of thefinacial problems that were being faced by women and their families. The project has also educated many people who are not even project beneficieries to embark on lifestock individual projects. I am glad to report that the project has become an eye opener to many in this locallity.
Families now generat income after selling the Folws. When they sale the fowls they pay the initial cost and them take another set of 3 weeks old chikens and start growing. Children are happy feeding the chikics and seeing them growing very well. Fowl dropping are sold at 3000 frs a bag and or used in the Key hole gardens at their homes to have green spices like lettuce, green beanse etc for themselves and equally for selling to those in need.
Children responsibily is that after school, they make sure that they change they wash the drinkers and change the water and then put in more feed for the chicks.
Many women are now jelous of the groups concern and some villages are call on us to extend the programe and project to their own villages.
Hopefully this will be done with time. Let us pray that they should continuesly be a market because when the demand for the folws drop the market will fall. How ever, we are in control and also monitors the mart trends.
