Fishery experience

Dear supporters,

Thank you for your support to our project!  Because of your support, we have been moving forward to rebuild community from tsunami with education.

The summer has been very busy. Many children have visited our town, Ogatsu to experience the nature and interact with locals.  We have organized over seven camp events to invite local children as well as children in Japan, from US, France, and China.  Many children were fascinated with the combination of rich forest and calm ocean where they can trace the water and participate in fishery.  Cooking with the ingredients they obtained from farmland and from sea, each child seemed very excited with getting their hands on to cook delicious dishes.

Listening to stories from the locals what happen on the day tsunami hit their community, children were moved how they have struggled but trying very hard to create a better life than before 311.

Also, Daniel Olson from UK has traveled across Japan by his bicycle to raise fund for our project as a sub fund raiser in Global Giving.  Thank you so much Daniel, and to his supporters!

In September, construction has started!  Renovate 90 year old school into accommodation, restaurant, spa, and studio for children in now underway!  I will be updating you on the status of the renovation!

Thank you again for your support!
