GlobalGiving recently received several complaints about Haitian Street Kids from unaffiliated sources. Although we have not verified these complaints, we have chosen to deactivate this project. We know that any threat to a partner’s reputation has the potential to affect all of GlobalGiving’s partners, by harming the reputation of the community as a whole.
Any donations made to this project in the last three months will be reallocated to GlobalGiving’s Haiti Relief Fund, which is supporting several partner organizations working on recovery efforts for victims and survivors of the devastating January 2010 earthquake.
If you have any questions regarding this situation, or if you are dissatisfied with your donation to this project and would like to reallocate your donation to another GlobalGiving project, please contact Alexis Nadin at anadin@globalgiving.org by Friday, May 18th.
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
If you donate to this project or have donated to this project, you can receive an email when this project posts a report. You can also subscribe for reports without donating.
