new vocational trainings for women with dsabilites

By Sari Bernardo | Executive Director

Hi Friend,

Our team has been working hard to start two trainings for 30 Afghan youth with disabilities, one in Kabul and one in Nangarhar. These training provides vocational skills in tailoring, pickle making and embroidery. In addition, ECI provides these students with skills to apply for jobs and stand out interviews. Since starting these vocational trainings, 55% of the students have already been employed after completing their training and work placements.

ECI enabled full participation by providing all necessary training materials and transportation allowances. The team established a quality assurance system with regular counsellor supervision and adapted approaches to meet cultural needs. These combined efforts created strong foundations for
participants' social and economic inclusion. ECI´s holistic approach addressed both skills development and mental health needs while leveraging community support networks.

Thank you for supporting this project and helping young Afghan women with disabilities to gain income through employments,

All the best,
ECI Team
