Dear Friend,
Thanks to your generosity, we are able to provide safe accommodation and educational access to tribal girls from remote villages in Tripura, northeast India. These children face significant barriers—long distances to school, lack of transportation, and poverty—that often prevent them from continuing their education. What We Are Doing Our project ensures that girls have: Safe housing near school to eliminate daily travel challenges Nutritious meals and a supportive routine to foster learning and well-being. Guidance and mentorship for academic and personal growth. By living together, the girls develop community, confidence, and independence while focusing on their studies without distraction or worry. Progress and Impact Since the hostel opened, attendance and academic performance have improved noticeably. Girls who were once hesitant are now actively participating in class, setting goals, and exploring new opportunities. Families and communities are increasingly recognizing the value of educating girls, helping to shift local attitudes. Next Steps: we plan to enhance the program by:
- Offering structured study and mentoring sessions
- Introducing life-skills workshops on health, hygiene, and responsibility
- Improving learning spaces to inspire creativity and reading.
Looking Ahead Every girl supported by this project is gaining the tools to shape her own future and contribute meaningfully to her community. Through education, confidence, and opportunity, we aim to nurture a generation of empowered, responsible young women who can break cycles of poverty and illiteracy in Tripura. Thank you for helping open doors to a brighter future for these girls. With gratitude!
