INDIAN MULTI PURPOSE TRUST FOR THE BLIND IS THE FIRST NGO IN INDIA. WHO WORKS FOR THE BLIND FAMILIES SINCE LAST 13 YEARS.we give special attention and care to the blind persons after their marriage and when they are in the process of settling down as a family. The real problem starts when they marry a similar partner, have kids and try to settle in some remote rural area because of financial constraint as no organization of hostel houses such families.
Still one of the issued that have come to our notice in our years of service is Many blind girls are widows and orphans who do not have anyone to look after them. They cannot even go to earn because of a lot of constraints. Neither they have a permanent shelter, nor any permanent sources of income. They are also taken advantage of by various anti social element
IMPT is planning to raise a hostel and provide them with all the basic necessities of life. It would be a big favour to them if they are offered some permanent shelter Also, there are various children of the blind couples who are deprived of education, proper nutrition and other joys of childhood because of poverty, ignorant and blind parents. Such a facility can further be utilized to provide shelter to similar old blinds who are all alone and no one to take care them.
If such ladies, and unfortunate children are housed in a hostel and provided with all the basic necessities of life without giving them the burden to work and earn, it would be a great service to humanity and to the God. IMPT is constantly working to make this dream come true .On one hand it is gathering data on all such needy girls and children who are in dire need of some permanent help and whose life at present is nothing less than hell &also gathering resourses to finance this project.
