As a not-for-profit social enterprise, KOTO not only focus on training vocational skills for our disadvantaged trainees but also engage actively with our coporate partners in creating impressive social impacts.
The year 2022 at KOTO finished with meaningful community activity, Winter Appeal. More than 1200 bowls of Pho & 150 gift baskets (cooking oil, instant noodles, sugar, seasoning powder) to families in Chiêng Yên commune, Son La province. 110 trainees, alumni and staff at KOTO spent a wonderful time with the locals through singing & dancing performances and other activities around the fire camp, which made a winter night full of warmth, love and cheers.
On the 10th of February, KOTO was proud to be the organiser for a CSR event, with a scale of more than 500 participants at the Hanoi Opera House. KOTO teamed with Capgemini, a French digital services company. Capgemini are among the world's top ten in their field of work. Together we successfully created a meaningful and impressive charity event. On that day, more than 200 of Capgermini’s senior leaders from over the world experienced a wonderful time engaging with vulnerable young people in Vietnam. The beneficiaries arrived from the Non-Profit organizations: Phat Tich Centre, SOS Children's Village and KOTO.
Four activities in terms of cooking, beverage mixology, computer and young leadership were organised. The programs were designed and led by KOTO’s alumni and staff to help participants choose their favourite field, and interact with different groups of children. We firmly believe that the event brought joy, happiness and memorable memories to both Capgemini staff and the young people participating in the event.
A huge thank you to Phat Tich Centre, SOS Children Village and KOTO alumni community for their enthusiastic support and cooperation. KOTO hopes that meaningful and pervasive events like this will happen more often in the future.
Besides, our team are very happy and proud to host international university groups coming and visiting KOTO for their social enterprise research. We are glad that our impactful Social Enterprise model can be shared amongst students around the world. We are looking forward to having more universities and organizations through our social enterprise study tour in 2023.
