Many children in Thailand face stress, bullying, family conflict, and abuse-yet most have no trusted adult to turn to. In 2022, research from Unicef shows that over 400,000 children experienced online sexual exploitation, but only 1-3% reported it, and 47% said they wouldn't know where to get help. Without accessible support, children remain unheard and vulnerable to long-term emotional and physical harm.
Childline Thailand responds to 40,000-50,000 child contacts every year, a number that rises annually. Through this campaign, we will provide 1,387 moments of support via the 24/7 - "1387" helpline. Trained counsellors deliver psychological first aid, crisis counselling, safety planning, follow-ups, and protection referrals, ensuring every child has someone they can trust.
This project will deliver 1,387 moments of support that reduce crises, prevent escalation, and connect children to protection services. With Childline already assisting 40,000-50,000 children each year, continued funding strengthens early intervention, increases successful referrals, and expands access to reliable mental health support, helping thousands more children grow up safer and emotionally stronger.
