HOPE foundation Matriculation High School was established in 2001 with a strong belief that every child has the right to education and that financial constraints should never stand in the way of learning. Located in a slum community where daily survival is a constant challenge, the school was founded to bring back children who had dropped out of school due to poverty and displacement.

Today, HOPE School provides free English-medium education to 434 underprivileged children in 2025-26 academic year. Most parents are daily wage earners, auto-rickshaw drivers, domestic workers, housekeeping staff, or single parents, struggling to meet basic needs. In such circumstances, education-related expenses become a heavy burden.

While the school provides free education, textbooks, and stationery, parents are required to purchase school uniforms. With rising costs, even a single good-quality uniform that must last the entire academic year becomes a significant expense. In this community, a school uniform is more than clothing, it represents dignity, equality, and belonging. Without support, this cost can lead to irregular attendance or even dropouts.

Recognizing this challenge, HOPE foundation mobilized support from compassionate donors like you and stakeholders to sponsor uniforms for the most vulnerable students. Through this initiative,

• 50 children from No/Single-parent families received uniforms, easing a major emotional and financial burden.
• 25 children of domestic workers and housekeeping staff were supported.
• 38 academically high-performing students were rewarded with uniforms as recognition and encouragement.

The impact has been profound. Parents felt immense relief, students now attend school regularly and confidently, and most importantly, the school has recorded zero dropouts.
