At HOPE Foundation Matriculation High School, Chennai, we remain dedicated to providing our students with opportunities to ignite their passion for science and research. Our recent participation in several prestigious workshops and competitions showcases the incredible potential of our students and their growing interest in STEM fields.
One such achievement comes from Joshini S., a bright 8th Std., student, who was selected to attend ISRO’s immersive 4-day workshop on space science and technology. This workshop, designed for students from 5th to 10th Std., brought together 22 young learners to explore the wonders of space. Joshini’s dedication and enthusiasm stood out, earning her an appreciation certificate in April 2024. Her success highlights the bright potential of our students and their growing interest in space exploration.
Additionally, 40 of our students participated in the Platinum Jubilee Open House at MIT Campus, Anna University, where they got hands-on experience in state-of-the-art laboratories. The event also featured inspiring talks by experts such as Dr. Shyamala Ramesh Babu and Mr. S. Sambandhan. Our students eagerly participated in a quiz competition, demonstrating their knowledge of aerospace and technological innovations. Each participant was awarded certificates and consolation prizes, and they left the event energized with new insights and a deeper drive to pursue advanced research and development.
Our students also shined at “Technovation 2024”, where 12 students showcased innovative projects at the interschool competition. Competing against 200 students from 17 schools, our students displayed remarkable creativity and technical skill. We are thrilled to have Sujith G. and Ashif Sherif from 7th Std., secured First Place in the Junior Category for their "Road Cleaning Machine" project, while Sandeep and Kamalesh from 9th Std., earned Third Place in the Senior Category for their "Smart Home for the Elderly" project.
Exposure to cutting-edge STEM fields through workshops, exhibitions, and competitions has sparked a deeper interest amongst the students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. These achievements not only reflect the bright potential of them but also elevate our school’s reputation as a nurturing environment for underprivileged children.
Your continued support will help these underprivileged children an opportunity to fulfill their dream and transform their lives in the years to come.
