The 16th annual day celebrations of HOPE foundation Matriculation School brought out the essence of cultural diversity and display of talent.
A colorful cultural programmer was organized to display the talent of the students.
Amongst the events planned, a mime with a social message on “preserving the trees” was presented by the students and it stole the show. Various dances presented by students received a huge applause.
14 Students who recorded 100% attendance were awarded. Irrespective of the challenges they faced in their day to day lives they were coming to school daily was commendable. The students come from a community wherein more than 90% of men including youngsters are addicted to alcohol and a large percentage to ganja. (The students live in a neighbourhood that is forced to turn to criminal ways to meet their daily demands, as their address has been denying them employment for the past 17 odd years.
