On 25th December of 2024, because of you, 50 elderly individuals and caretakers of orphaned children received food baskets filled with love and warmth. Thanks to your incredible generosity, we didn’t just provide food—we brought joy, comfort, and hope to those who needed it most. Seeing the smiles on their faces and the gratitude in their hearts was truly priceless. From the bottom of our hearts—thank you!
This time, as we distributed the food baskets, we did something truly special—we invited all the elderly to gather in the heart of the village, giving them a chance to meet, talk, and simply be together. It was a profoundly beautiful moment, filled with warmth and connection. Many of them spend their days in loneliness, isolated from the world, but for this brief time, laughter and conversation replaced silence. The joy in their eyes and the way they held onto each other’s hands spoke volumes. It was more than just a gathering—it was a moment of belonging, and of love.
For those who couldn’t join us—whether due to physical health challenges or other difficulties—MaSe Foundation volunteers personally delivered food baskets to their homes. No one was forgotten. With every knock on the door, we brought not just nourishment, but warmth, care, and the message that they are not alone. Seeing their gratitude and relief reminded us why we do this—because everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, and supported.
There is nothing more heartwarming than seeing the pure gratitude and joy on people's faces as they receive their food basket. The smiles, the tears of happiness, the heartfelt thank-yous—these moments remind us why we do this. They show us just how deeply our work touches lives.
In addition to the food basket project, we also held the annual MaSe Foundation day in Kampungu village on 2 January 2025. This is a day on which the sponsored children of Mase Foundation and their parents are invited to learn with and from each other.
The focus on this day was also on the connection between the sponsored families and the (local) volunteers of the foundation. It was a day full of inspiration and learning moments, in which the importance of education, hygiene and personal care, gender equality and the empowerment of women were discussed.
