Hope and Joy on a Plate to Uganda June 2026

By Agnes Nalubiri | Project leader

On behalf of MaSe Foundation Uganda, we would like to express our gratitude for your continued support to the Hope and Joy on a Plate project in Uganda. The support and generosity you show towards vulnerable children, widows, elderly people, and struggling families in the community of Kampungu, Kalisizo, Uganda is deeply appreciated.

Your kindness has continued to bring hope and relief to many households that face daily challenges of poverty, food insecurity, illness, and social isolation. Because of your support, families who would otherwise struggle to find a meal have been able to experience comfort, dignity, and the joy of sharing food with their loved ones.

This Easter season, through your support, we successfully provided food packages to more than 50 vulnerable households within our community. For many of the beneficiaries, this support came at a critical time when food prices remained high and household incomes were extremely limited. The food packages distributed included, bread, sugar, salt, meat, a bunch of matooke (green bananas), cooking oil, chicken, and soap. These essential food items enabled families to celebrate Easter with dignity and joy while reflecting on the love and sacrifice of God. The smiles, gratitude, and heartfelt prayers we received from beneficiaries demonstrated just how meaningful your support continues to be.

As we continue serving the community, we have become increasingly aware of the growing needs among our elderly beneficiaries. Many of the elders we support are becoming weaker with age and are facing various health challenges. Unfortunately, access to healthcare remains a significant challenge in our community. There are no medical facilities available, and many elderly individuals cannot afford transportation, consultations, medications, or ongoing treatment for common illnesses and non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure.

Despite these difficulties, we remain committed to supporting them through food assistance and regular community outreach. The food support they receive often becomes one of the few reliable sources of help available to them.

Sadly, during the past year, a few of the elders we have supported passed away. We extend our heartfelt condolences to their families and loved ones during this difficult time. We are grateful that, through your generosity, these individuals experienced care, companionship, and support during their final years.

To all our donors, partners, and supporters, thank you for your unwavering commitment.
