In recent years, the number of young people in Japan experiencing "invisible poverty"—those without a permanent home, sleeping in internet cafes and surviving on short-term part-time jobs—has been increasing. In some cases, contacting Homedoor has led to government support and opportunities for permanent settlement. Recently, a program focusing on this "invisible poverty" was produced, and one of the men we support was featured on TVshow.
We are working to build a society where everyone can start over again, no matter how many times they experience homelessness due to disparities arising from differences in their upbringing (family structure, economic situation, community, physical disability, etc.). We would be delighted if you would take an interest in the man who has started over with us.
