After years of war and displacement, thousands of Syrians dream of returning home. IBC is on a mission to make this possible through the Blue Crescent Village project, developed in partnership with IDRF Canada—a large-scale permanent housing initiative set to be completed in just seven months.
To date, 75% of construction is complete, and progress continues on schedule. The project includes 100 earthquake-resistant apartments and a community center in northern Syria. Each four-story building houses 16 apartments, each with two bedrooms, a living room, and a total of 70 square meters of living space. The community center features four classrooms and will host educational and social programs to enrich community life.
Built with high-quality materials and meticulous standards, the project began with a model apartment that was warmly received by local authorities and community members.
Beyond housing, IBC also addresses the broader needs of returnees—providing food, clean water, winter relief, healthcare, and psychosocial support to help them regain stability and resilience, as a long humanitarian crisis has left a deep and devastating mark on their lives.
But we cannot do this alone. Every donation—large or small—helps complete construction, furnish homes, and provide essential services for families returning after years of hardship. Please, join us in bringing Syrian families home.
